Ahhh....Autumn

Today it feels as if if all life around us is ready to say ahhh....
Reminds us  how hard they've worked and grown all spring and summer;
but now onto Autumn,
that quieter, cooler, calmer season; but not before -
all living things bloomed in color for one final show
for soon they look forward to the coming rest ahead

Autumn has arrived in every way here on the homestead!
For more photos from our neck of the woods, please check out my friends blog
the header photo on her blog was taken during her visit with us a few years ago;
She is such a talented photographer -
we miss her family and all our friends and family far away!

And now, some favorite Autumn links I'm loving right now

Beginning a Simple Prayer Life with Children - Like Mother, Like Daughter
Knitty Gritty Homestead - A Letter to Family for Christmas
Mommy Coddle - Pumpkin Bars
Lamb Tangine - Getting Stitched on the Farm
Ray Lamontagne - Music that fits me

And because I want to knit entirely too many items from the following three links,
must share them in hopes that each of you will knit them for me -
  I fear there is not enough time in my favorite season to knit them all!

Knitty - Deep Fall 2011
Twist Collective - Fall 2011
Petite Purls - Fall 2011

Autumn is truly the loveliest season in New England, don't you agree?
Happy Weekending :-)

  1. Wow, your fall colors are already so vibrant. I'm not seeing too much around here yet. It's still practically summer here which is surprising. I love all your picks and am so jealous of your apple trees. I think I'm going to have mike plant some soon. I'll definitely be checking out the links you shared. have a great autumn.
