Work and Pleasure in the Dutch/French West Indies

Last week we left a chilly minus 10 degree New Hampshire
for a business conference in a much warmer location.

While several hours a day were spent in the conference,
 there was time each afternoon and evening to enjoy the beautiful Island of St. Maarten

Lolo Festival in Grand Case - French Side

Sarafina's Bakery in Marigot - French Side - a.k.a. the best Bakery on the Island
I must say the Crepes with Sugar I had there on this rainy afternoon were divine!

Most of our conference group had dinner our last evening at Loterie Farm up in the mountains

We had a lovely time and so enjoyed warmer weather for a week;
We are so thankful to George's mom for holding down the fort
and taking care of everything here in New Hampshire so that we could get away!

  1. Oh my, what a beautiful place to sneak away to. I'm soooooo envious. You guys look great and so happy. Looks like George was thoroughly enjoying himself in the water. Mike's conference this year is in Boston, so I'll be skipping it. But next year is in Hawaii, and I'm so going! I may have to learn more about where you guys went because it is all so gorgeous.

  2. It looks like you had so much fun! I would have loved sitting in that bakery with you catching up! Next time! Did you have a favorite bay? I'm sure your kiddos are happy you are home and refreshed to face "momville".
