2013 - A New Year

Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky,
The flying cloud, the frosty light;
The year is dying in the night;
Ring out, wild bells, and let him die.

Cole has been skiing every day of his vacation with his ski team, Nikki made it 1/2 of the days (she love her sleep)
Waking so early (6 am) everyday of your vacation takes dedication - I am tired and slept till 6:50 this morning :-)
but they would come home & head right back outside -
late afternoons were spent sledding with the pups til it's nearly dark;
They just can't get enough of the white stuff - whether on skis, sleds, in boots or snowshoes :-)

Bode & Zoey love the white stuff too - good thing!
Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the snow:

The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true.
DSC_0187
Ring out the grief that saps the mind,
For those that here we see no more,
Ring out the feud of rich and poor,
Ring in redress to all mankind.
DSC_0223
Ring out a slowly dying cause,
And ancient forms of party strife;
Ring in the nobler modes of life,
with sweeter manners, purer laws.

DSC_0250
Ring out the want, the care, the sin,
The faithless coldness of the times;
Ring out, ring out thy mournful rhymes,
But ring the fuller minstrel in.
DSC_0163
Ring out false pride in place and blood,
The civic slander and the spite;
Ring in the love of truth and right,
Ring in the common love of good.
DSC_0273
Ring out old shapes of foul disease,
Ring out the narrowing lust of gold;
Ring out the thousand wars of old,
Ring in the thousand years of peace.
DSC_0244
Ring in the valiant man and free,
The larger heart, the kindlier hand;
Ring out the darkness of the land,
Ring in the Christ that is to be

Wishing you and yours time together

under the last night sky of 2012-

looking back on the year past
and forward to 2013!
May the year bring health, happiness and love of family
