This week was a busy and productive week on the homestead despite a lot of this...
RAIN
-Which my garden is loving-
Yes, that would be the garden I said I wasn't planting
(since we're building the addition this summer);
yet, somehow the garden ended up with over 40 tomato plants -
the garden fairy must have planted them :-)
She also apparently planted the peas, beans, kholrabi, radishes,
salad, swiss chard, carrots, onions, cabbages, the potato field and some new herbs :-0

Oh, My she was quite busy with the planting!
And while she planted seeds and seedlings and watched them grow...
Forms up, walls poured,
And lots more rain,
Concrete set, forms down...
The back wall looks good :-)
Nearly disassembled, and pressure sealing plus backfilling ahead this week;
hoping our new addition will be looking more like a structure
and a little less like a hole in the ground;
It's so amazing to stand inside a space that will soon be a new part of our home!
See you back here later this week with some riding updates from Nikki
Until then, wishing you a wonderful start to your mid-June week
-Erin

Excitement is building up around there, I'm sure. I can't believe you have the energy to keep up with the garden as well. Mike is so sad that we'll have to give up the garden this summer. We looked at a house in SD last weekend that had an awesome garden with years of established "crops", and he was so tempted to find a way to get us into that house just based on the garden alone. Silly man!
