We're back.... regrouping from our vacation .... catching up on the laundry .... and all the good stuff that comes with being home again :-) Our trip was great and I promise more on that to come in the next week or so after I go through the 400+ pictures we took! But for now, I woke this morning, sat down at the computer to sort through the ridiculous # of e-mails one acquires while vacationing, and the pile of junk mail and then I glanced at the calendar and what did I see - IT'S DECEMBER, oh my goodness! I guess I forgot because last year it looked like this in December
This year, it's still what we in NH call "stick season" Some significant amount of snow is in the forecast for later this week, but thus far it's just been a dusting here and there, nothing to even really measure at our house (although the mountains have had measurable amounts but they need at least 2-3 feet on the base). The kids shiny new skis sit sadly in the mud room awaiting their first spin on the mountain. Santa's sleigh may have to glide over soggy brown grass this year unless things change ... and now that I said it, I'm sure Old Man Winter is ready to pay us a visit and make me eat my words, or shall I say eat my shovel :-) It's not too late to add a snow blower to my Santa list, is it? That's okay, I say bring on the sparkly white stuff, it's December.
Glad you guys made it back safely. It's always good to be home, but it's also stressful to get back into the swing of things. Hope you guys had a wonderful time in our nation's capitol.
